Going Back to School
At 41, many might consider their path set, but for me, it was just the beginning of an exciting new chapter. I had long pondered returning to school, but nothing seemed to resonate with my vision or learning style—until I discovered The Los Angeles Film School (LAFS). This place captured my interest with its diverse subjects and the dynamic, project-based approach to learning that fit seamlessly into my life. My passion for entertainment, D&D, and anime found a perfect home here, making LAFS the ideal choice for unleashing my creativity.
The Decision to Enroll
The journey back to school wasn't just about acquiring knowledge; it was a profound realization. After years of hard work climbing the corporate ladder, an injury left me reevaluating my life. I felt like I had been striving to prove my worth to people who didn't value me. In that period of reflection, I realized I needed a change that aligned with my true passions. Enrolling at LAFS for a Bachelor of Science in Media Communication became my path toward personal fulfillment and a chance to set a strong example for my family.
Enjoying the School Experience
To my surprise, school has become one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Achieving a 3.98 GPA has shown me the rewards of dedication and hard work. Every day has inspired me, and I'm optimistic about my family's future. My experience at LAFS has been incredible; the instructors are caring, the courses are engaging, and the community is supportive, which has turned my perspective on education upside down.
Future Aspirations
As I look ahead, I aim to become a Media Producer, crafting work that entertains and inspires. I aim to create timeless content that resonates with audiences, driven by the skills I'm honing at LAFS. I'll build a portfolio through freelancing, showcasing my web design, photo/video editing, and video production talents. Ultimately, I envision a career in the entertainment industry, perhaps in anime, television, or film, using everything I've learned to spread joy and creativity to the world.
